In the peaceful village of Peak Dale
A drive, or walk through Smalldale takes you to the pennine bridleway and the start of a lovely quiet gentle walk through Haydale and Peters Dale. There is no river at this point but if you go on down to Monks Dale you then get a lovely walk down by the stream, though the rocks can be very slippery.
